A 23-year-old man has been charged with the torture and sexual assault of a woman at Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

Police allege the woman was forced to suck gas from a gas bottle and was burnt with cigarettes at a house from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.

Police also claim the man had pulled the 23-year-old’s hair.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody on charges of torture, deprivation of liberty and sexual assault.

The matter has been adjourned until tomorrow.
