A 73-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and firearms offences after a domestic-related shooting in Sydney's Upper North Shore on Thursday.

Two people are dead after their ultralight aircraft crashed on the NSW coast.

Police located the wreckage and two bodies on Patterson Road in Woodville, north of Newcastle, about 12.20pm.

The victims’ identities and the type of aircraft is not yet known.
