A homeless man has faced a NSW court charged with the murder of his baby daughter and a string of unrelated traffic offences.

The homeless man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared by video link.

He did not address the court and was not required to enter a plea.

A suppression order on the man’s identity and all other parties and witnesses was ordered after a joint application from the Aboriginal Legal Service and the police prosecutions.

The matter was remanded for mention on February 25, 2019.
