A man caught on dashcam footage forcing fellow motorists off a busy motorway by driving on the wrong side of the road has been charged by police.

Dashcam footage taken on Sunday showed a Nissan Skyline GTR speeding into oncoming traffic and forcing cars into the breakdown lane along Cessnock Road at Gillieston Heights, New South Wales.

In the video, the car is seen serving into the left hand lane in an attempt to overtake a car, before crossing to the wrong side of the two-lane road, passing several cars.
