A man has died after being pulled from the water on Sydney’s northern beaches.

A rescue helicopter, police and paramedics were called to North Curl Curl beach about 10.30am on Saturday.

A man had been plucked from the water and was found on the rock shelf.

Rescue workers tried to resuscitate him on the rocks but he died.

A NSW ambulance spokeswoman said the patient suffered a cardiac arrest.
