Kidnapper added to NSW most wanted list

A man who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and sexually assaulting a teenage girl 30 years ago has been added to NSW’s most wanted list after failing to front court for sentencing.

Al Green, 48, was arrested two years ago over the 1984 kidnapping and sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl along the Hume Highway near Marulan in the Southern Tablelands.

He pleaded guilty to charges of detaining for advantage and assault, but failed to appear at a sentencing hearing in January.

A warrant is out for his arrest.

NSW Detective Inspector Dave Kay says the victim told police she thought she was being pulled over on the highway by an unmarked police car, but Green grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into his car.

“He drove further south along the Hume Highway and pulled up on the side of the road … then at the end of it, he drove her back to her car,” he told News Corp.

Police believe Green, formerly known as Glen Alan Rozynski, may be in the Strathfield or Marrickville areas in Sydney’s inner-west or interstate.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 175-180cm tall, medium build, with brown hair and eyes, and a large scar on his forehead.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
