A man has had part of his nose bitten off in an attack in Sydney’s inner-west.

The 38-year-old was assaulted at a unit complex in Leichhardt about 5pm on Tuesday (AEST), and has since undergone surgery to reattach his nose.

Police say the male offender bit part of the man’s nose off, before running from the Norton St complex.

Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time.
