Butt cheek cylinder man claims ignorance

A man has been remanded in custody after Wagga Wagga police found a machete strapped to his body and a knife and drugs in his pants.

The 35 year old was caught rummaging through his neighbour’s shed at around 2:00am (AEST) yesterday.

Once confronted he ran from the scene and dropped a bag containing what police say is stolen goods.

The man was caught and officers located a 50 centimetre machete strapped to his body and a stanley knife.

He was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station.

While in custody, he was again searched and a cylindrical container filled with green vegetable matter fell from his buttock cheeks.

He told police it must have belonged to his friend and he did not know how it got there.

He has been charged with break and enter, carrying a cutting weapon, custody of a knife in public, goods suspected of being stolen and possessing a prohibited drug.

He will front Wagga Local Court on July 16.
