Final week of public hearings for ICAC

In its final week of public hearings, the NSW corruption inquiry into Liberal party slush funds will hear from Nick Di Girolamo, Liberal MP Chris Hartcher and former mining mogul Nathan Tinkler.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption’s (ICAC) Operation Spicer will then adjourn until early August so investigators can look into the activities of former police minister Mike Gallacher.

On Mondaym former Australian Water Holdings (AWH) chief executive Mr Di Girolamo will finish giving evidence he started on Friday.

AWH is alleged to have paid $183,000 to the “sham” company, EightByFive.

During the week the inquiry will then question the Central Coast Liberal figures closest to EightByFive.

They include staffers to former NSW minister Mr Hartcher, Tim Koelma and Ray Carter, along with Central Coast Liberal MPs Chris Spence and Darren Webber, who have been sitting on the cross bench since last year.

On Thursday, Mr Tinkler will appear in the witness box followed by Mr Hartcher.
