A man and a woman have been charged with murder after a man died of head injuries near Wagga Wagga in NSW.

The man was found at a home in The Rock near Wagga Wagga with head injuries about 11.30am (AEST) on Wednesday.

Emergency services tried to resuscitate him but he died at the scene.

Just after 1am on Sunday, police said a 23-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man were arrested at a nearby property.

They were taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where the man was charged with murder and an outstanding warrant for an unrelated matter.

The woman was also charged with murder.

The pair were refused bail to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on Monday.
