A man has died in Sydney’s west amid reports of fighting and shouting inside an apartment.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the man in Auburn, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Media reports say neighbours were woken just before 1am (AEDT) to the sounds of screaming and shouting at a unit complex on Marion Street.
Inside the unit police found the body of the man, believed to be a 23-year-old Chinese national.
Police will not confirm how he died, but it is believed he was stabbed, Macquarie Radio reports.
Police could not confirm reports they are searching for the man’s flatmate.
“Our inquiries are continuing,” a police spokeswoman said.
