Hypnotist Scott Lewis dies in Sydney

A renowned American hypnotist, Dr Scott Lewis, has fallen to his death from an apartment block in Sydney.

Dr Lewis was in Sydney to perform a show at the Sydney Opera House called The Illusionists 2.0.

The body of the 50-year-old was discovered on a fourth floor balcony at Pyrmont on Saturday morning.

Police believe he fell from his 11th story apartment while trying to climb to another balcony overnight.

In a statement, the show’s co-producer Tim Lawson says the company is deeply saddened by the death.

“The entire company has decided to continue the show in his honour, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” he said.

The statement says the performance tonight will be dedicated to Dr Lewis.
