Sydney boy hit by car in city’s west

A boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car while riding his bike in Sydney’s west.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Command are investigating the incident that happened at Minto on Monday evening.

The vehicle hit the 11-year-old boy while he was riding his bike, police said in a statement.

He wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time.

The boy’s arm was fractured and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police say the male driver of the car isn’t expected to be charged.
