A taxi driver has been seriously injured during an altercation with a colleague.

Emergency services were called to Bondi just before 11pm (AEDT) on Saturday where they discovered the 59-year-old with head injuries.

He was taken to hospital, where he is in an induced coma.

The injured man’s head and arm were apparently in the other cabbie’s window when he drove off and dragged him down the road.

Witness Ludvig Tannio told Network Nine that the driver sped off and dragged him for several metres.

The second taxi driver is assisting police with their inquiries.
