Parents checked missing NSW boy was asleep

Rescuers are searching on land and in water for missing boy Connor Elliott Graham, who disappeared on Thursday morning from a property in the NSW mid-north coast.

A search for the four-year-old is underway by local police, the dog squad, PolAir, and volunteers at Chatsworth Island, about 60 kilometres north of Grafton.

Grafton SES spokesman Col Thompson told AAP that 29 SES personnel were searching for the boy in surrounding cain fields and on water.

“We have boats on the water,” he said.

“If we don’t find him today we will keep looking tomorrow.”

Connor was put to bed on Christmas night and his parents checked on him about 3.30am (AEDT) to find him sleeping, police said in a statement.

Just after 7am Thursday, his parents discovered he was gone.

A search of the home and surrounding area has failed to locate the boy.

Connor was last seen wearing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle pyjamas.

Police say he has red hair and fair skin.

Anyone who sees the child is being urged to keep him safe and call police.
