Thomas Kelly’s king-hit killer gets six years’ jail

The man who fatally king hit Thomas Kelly in Sydney’s Kings Cross last year has been sentenced to up to six years in prison.

Kieran Loveridge pleaded guilty to manslaughter and four assault charges in June after a murder charge against him was dropped.

The 19-year-old year old randomly punched Mr Kelly in the head in July last year as the 18-year-old walked with his girlfriend in the nightclub precinct.

Mr Kelly was knocked to the ground and died from fatal head injuries.
