A man will face court again today charged over a fatal stabbing in Lake Macquarie at the weekend.
Police say two men, aged 29 and 39, were arguing at a home in Windale on Saturday night.
The argument escalated, and the younger man was later found in the Butler Place unit with stab wounds to his chest and torso.
Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital where he died.
The older man has been charged with murder and was refused bail yesterday.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for help from the public after a man was stabbed near Maitland at the weekend.
Police say two men, aged 19 and 22, began fighting in a Telarah unit early yesterday morning when the older man was stabbed in the chest.
He was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics and taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Police say they would like to speak with the teenager and area asking anyone with information to come forward.
