A prominent Russian Instagram influencer has been found dead with knife wounds in a suitcase in her rented apartment in Moscow.

Ekaterina Karaglanova, 24, had more than 85,000 followers on Instagram (under her tag Katti_loves_life) and recently graduated as a doctor.

Police reportedly said there was no evidence that a struggle had taken place at the apartment, and no weapon had been found.

Investigators said they were considering jealousy as a possible motive. Ms Karaglanova had recently started a new relationship, according to Russian newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets.

Ms Karaglanova’s followers often likened her to film star Audrey Hepburn.
