Private Rebel?

Another remake in the works is the 1980 comedy classic Private Benjamin that starred Goldie Hawn.

The Howard Zieff directed film told the story of a well-to-do socialite who joins the army and gets more than she bargained for.

Originally tapped as an Anna Faris vehicle way back after House Bunny (but after her atrocious turn in What’s Your Number? and the lack lustre I Give It A Year she has retreated to TV), the reboot slipped into limbo land for a while but news in has it that Aussie Rebel Wilson, who is currently working on Pitch Perfect 2, has landed the coveted role as Judy Benjamin, famously played by Hawn.

Wilson also has a successful TV show Super Fun Night awaiting renewal so the delivery on the new film is as yet unknown. No director is attached to the project, either.
