Commuters have united in their shared frustration at boarding a crammed train during Sydney’s notorious peak hour to shout down a preacher proclaiming his anti-abortion views.

In a video posted to the ‘Torch of Christ Ministries’ Youtube channel earlier this week, Phillip Blair commences his ‘sermon’, much to the chagrin of his fellow passengers.

“Allow me three minutes of your time, I’m not here to offend anyone, I’m here to give you hope,” Mr Blair tries to reassure his ‘hurting’ comrades.

Plugged-in bystanders appeared oblivious, while those who copped the full force of his delivery averted their gaze and cringed in equal measure.

However, the situation reached a tipping point when Mr Blair fired this shot.

“We care more about saving the whales than we do saving our unborn children – I love you that much that we have to return to living in a moral way,” he claimed.

Cue the furious backlash.

“Yeah thanks mate, we do not have to return anywhere, thank you,” an older Australian man interjected.

“Just shut up”– a sentiment echoed by a number of other commuters.

The American appeared unfazed and again attempted to spread his ‘gospel,’ but it did not take long for the stunning clap backs to resume.

“I’m not forcing my opinion on everyone in this train, so why don’t you just take your opinion and keep it to yourself,” the man repeats.

“No one wants to hear it bro, be quiet,” a younger passenger said.

The almost seven-minute long confrontation has amassed more than 48,000 views since it was posted on Tuesday, with most comments celebrating the actions of local passengers.

“I’d like to buy the old guy a beer,” one commenter posted.

Mr Blair claims the Torch of Christ church endeavours to “[take] the light of Christ into all dark places,” with a flurry of links asking for personal donations to his ministry.

The train video is one of 10 uploaded to social media during the Torch of Christ’s time in Sydney, with others including heated arguments at Sydney’s Darling Harbour and financial district.

A passer-by calls Mr Blair ‘a f*****g terrorist’ in one confrontation at Kings Cross.

The so-called ‘Evangelism Tour’ has now made its way to Melbourne, according to a post on the church’s Facebook page.
