A toddler abducted from a Canberra care home by an armed man has been found in bushland near Batemans Bay on the NSW South Coast.
Police found the 18-month-old girl safe and well about 9.15am AEST on Friday after tip-offs from community members.
The girl was taken from the centre in Belconnen, in Canberra’s north, at midday on Thursday.
Police have taken two people into custody and say the pair is assisting their investigation.
Detective acting Superintendent Joanne Cameron said initial information from the community had proven invaluable to the collaborative efforts of ACT and NSW police.
