Clive Palmer’s bizarre ‘goodbye Bronwyn’ video

Palmer United Party leader and Federal member for Fairfax, Clive Palmer, has had his fair share of unusual moments whilst in office, but this might take the cake.

A new video released online shows Mr Palmer repeatedly half-singing and half-speaking the phrase “goodbye Bronwyn”, in reference to Speaker Bronwyn Bishop.

Speaker Bronwyn Bishop says she’s ‘very, very sorry’
Palmer, Wilkie will move motion to eliminate Bishop

Yesterday, Mr Palmer and fellow Independent MP Andrew Wilkie announced they’d move a no-confidence vote against Bronwyn Bishop when parliament returns in August.

They want to try and remove Ms Bishop as Speaker after she refused to resign following furore over her use of taxpayer money.

Ms Bishop has apologised for hiring a tax-funded $5000 helicopter to travel 75 km to a Liberal Party fundraiser.

She also said sorry for using her travel entitlements to get to the weddings of two Liberal Party colleagues.

Despite pressure from all sides of the political divide and the public, Liberal Party leadership has not made her stand aside.

You can watch Mr Palmer’s video statement on the matter below.
