They wrote what? MX going down swinging
Just a day after News Limited announced the tabloid’s axing, an unfortunate headline in MX newspaper saw social media run hot.
The paper, distributed for free to public transport commuters in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, was axed on Thursday.

And by the looks of it, MX – focused on light news, sport and entertainment – are intending to go out generating plenty of discussion.
MX’s match report on Thanasi Kokkinakis’ five-set win over fellow Australian Bernard Tomic at the French Open was headlined with ‘Bernie chokes on Kokk’.
The poor innuendo generated plenty of reaction on Twitter, but it wasn’t all bad:
