Peter Dutton exiles Bandidos bikie

A top Victorian bikie has been exiled from Australia after the government refused to renew his residency visa, according to media reports.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton personally intervened to refuse a return visa for UK-born Daniel Roach while he was in Thailand on “character grounds”, News Corp reported on Tuesday.

Shocking Nauru inquiry claims

A spokesperson for the immigration minister declined to confirm the identity of the man, but told the Herald Sun “an application for a new Australian visa has been refused for a person with an alleged association with an outlaw motorcycle gang”.

Roach, a Bandidos sergeant-at-arms who has a wife and two daughters in Geelong, has reportedly hired an immigration lawyer to challenge the decision.
