Opposition Leader Bill Shorten distributed a special bingo card ahead of Tony Abbott’s address to the National Press Club, so people could “have some fun” with his speech.

Mr Shorten’s office confirmed to The New Daily they released the document, titled ‘Let’s All Play Bingo’, before the commencement of Mr Abbott’s address on Monday.

It featured the prime minster’s favourite catchphrases, including “death cult”, “Margie and the girls” and “cutting red tape”.

“While we’re all watching the Prime Minister dump his ‘signature policy’ to save his skin, why not have some fun?” Mr Shorten’s press secretary Gerard Richardson wrote in a release.

“Today we’re offering you the opportunity to play Press Club Bingo. See attached a sheet for your office.

“Why should it be just Ministers and Liberal Party backbenchers who get to play games with Tony Abbott?”
