Screams heard from car boot

Reports of screams coming from the boot of a car parked at a Melbourne train station have prompted an investigation into a possible abduction.

Police have been told the screams could be heard as two men attempted to close the boot lid at Gardiner train station in Melbourne’s east about 5.40pm on Friday.

A witness said two men got off a train to intervene and were told to mind their own business.

Police are calling for anybody who witnessed the incident, particularly the two male passengers, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
