Former Australian of the Year Pat and his wife Lara’s Wallis St home, in Sydney’s swanky east, failed to sell at its May auction with a price of more than $2.6 million.

The two-storey terrace was then withdrawn from its June auction and is now for sale on realestate.com.au asking for more than $2.5 million.
The Rafter family is now based in Noosa, where children Joshua and India have the run of a double block that was bought in 2006 for $9.5 million.

Pat, a former world number one tennis champion, had purchased the Wallis St, Woollahra in 2007 for $2.35 million, the same year the family sold their Mosman mansion for $7.75 million.
Run Property Darlinghurst spokesman Paul Efphron told The Daily Telegraph the property was on a deep 280sqm block with rear access, had flowing open interiors, bi-fold doors opening to the outside plus a large entertainment deck overlooking landscaped gardens.
