Bernard’s at it again

Australian tennis player Bernard Tomic has been caught up in controversy after he allegedly attended a penthouse party in Surfer’s Paradise where minors were supplied with alcohol and illicit drugs.

A police investigation into the organised crime links of the Gold Coast night club scene has revealed that Mr Tomic was present at the February party held at the home of night club owner and accused drug dealer Jamie Pickering.

Mr Pickering’s nightclub, Sin City, is a favourite of the tennis star, who held his 21st birthday celebrations there last year.

Channel Nine has alleged that Mr Tomic brought four women to the party, two of them 16-year-olds, where they claimed they were offered alcohol and saw a pile of white powder on a kitchen bench.

When confronted by a Channel Nine reporter regarding the matter, Mr Tomic denied his attendance, saying he was living in Melbourne at the time of the party.

“Let them (police) talk to me,” Mr Tomic said.

Police have dismissed reports that they wish to speak to 21-year-old and emphasised that they have no evidence he was involved in any illegal activities.
