Virgin mobile crash anger

Virgin Mobile has apologised for a network outage that left customers unable to text, make calls or use data overnight.

The outage affected mobile users from early Saturday morning and left many unable to make calls, send texts or use data.

Services were restored to some customers at midday on Saturday.

Virgin Mobile turned to Facebook to apologise for the major glitch.

“We understand the importance of connectivity in the lives of our customers …” the company stated.

“… and would like to assure you that we have taken every step to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

Virgin Mobile says it will give customers a credit equivalent to their access fee for the day.

But for some disgruntled users, that doesn’t quite cut it.

“Could you please give us an explanation as to what actually caused the outage?” Alex Case wrote on the company’s Facebook page.

“Still incredibly disappointed about the delay in notifying your customers that there was an outage.”

Sean Sullivan asked: “Where is the compensation for our of pocket expenses and lost work?”

More to come …
