The man accused of killing paramedic Steven Tougher has been charged over a string of alleged violent incidents in the lead-up to the emergency worker’s death.

Jordan James Fineanganofo, 22, was arrested and charged over the stabbing of Mr Tougher, who was on a meal break while on a night shift when he was allegedly attacked.

The 29-year-old paramedic was stabbed outside the Campbelltown McDonald’s in the early hours of Friday, April 14, and died in hospital from his wounds.

Fineanganofo was tasered by police and arrested at the scene after Mr Tougher’s colleague activated a duress alarm.

He was later charged with murdering the father-of-one, who had been working as a paramedic for about a year.

Police on Wednesday said they had laid a series of fresh charges against the 22-year-old over incidents in nearby suburbs on the Thursday and Friday before Mr Tougher was killed.

Fineanganofo is accused of two counts of wounding with intent, destroying or damaging property and stealing, among other charges.

He remains in custody and will face Campbelltown Local Court later on Wednesday.

Fineanganofo’s lawyer previously said his client had mental health issues and had been undergoing treatment before the paramedic’s stabbing death.

Mr Tougher’s wife, Madison Tougher, gave birth to the couple’s second child only weeks after the young father was killed.
