One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has named his new born son Sydney Rain, according to reports.

“Louis and Briana are yet to file a birth certificate but they’ve agreed on the name Sydney Rain. It will be rubber-stamped in the next five days,” a source told The Sun.

“It’s not yet known whether the baby boy will take Briana’s surname or Tomlinson.”

Tomlinson’s former partner, Briana Jungwirth, gave birth to the boy on Saturday (AEDT).

According to the report, the couple still have to settle custody for the boy given the pair are no longer “romantically involved”.

Tomlinson, 24, is currently dating actress Danielle Campbell.

He confirmed on Saturday (AEDT) that his son had been born.

Tomlinson tweeted: “I’m pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday 🙂 He is healthy and pretty amazing 🙂 I’m very happy!!”

Ms Jungwirth is a 23-year-old stylist from America.
