My resolution for 2014 is to be happy, healthy and give everything I do 100 per cent. 2014 is going to be a big year for me with a number of international territories already committed to air my TV specials. I want ensure that no matter how busy I am or how much I am travelling, I find the right work/life balance and ensure I spend enough quality time with my beautiful family and friends.

My personal goals are to stay fit in body, mind and spirit, to work hard and productively and to enjoy my family and friends especially my son’s wedding in 2014. I long for stronger global leaders especially now that Nelson Mandela has passed away – leaders with a vision for justice, human rights and a way forward for the world on climate change. I hope for successful peace talks that will lead to a resolution to the civil war in Syria so that the refugees in neighbouring countries can return safely to their homeland.

On the home front I want to watch Essendon play good footy without feeling shame and the stigma of the supplements scandal.

I feel like I’ve had a really successful 2013, Ash (Barty) and I did really well in the doubles and we can look back and be really proud of what we achieved. My goals in 2014 tennis-wise are to go one further with Ash and possibly win a Grand Slam doubles title, and also to get my singles ranking back inside the top 100 so I can play main draw singles at all four majors. I also want to make the most of being with my family, they’ll be on the road with me and I want to enjoy every moment I can with my son Blake because kids grow up so fast.

My New Year’s resolution is probably going to be decided by a small human who is due to me and my wife in April. I feel like any of the resolutions I’m currently toying with (drink more pina coladas, buy boat/unicorn) will fall by the wayside when I’m failing to correctly affix a nappy. So, with that in mind my New Year’s resolution is learning how to confidently put on a nappy before April.

To have a honeymoon. We [husband Todd Huggins and I] are very overdue, and keep promising ourselves that the next year will be the year. It’s hard to both get time off together but we reckon 2014 is the year!
