Remember when #TheDress and #TheShoe divided the internet with their infuriating ambiguity?
Well, another image has had the same effect thanks to a bit of cleverly placed paint.

Instagram user @leonardhoespams recently posted an innocuous photo of her legs covered with a bit of paint.
Within hours, the image had spread across to Twitter with many claiming to see either white paint or extremely glossy legs.
Hunter Culverhouse, the student behind the post, told Insider that the effect was completely unintentional.
“[I] had some white paint left on my brush and put random lines on my legs, turned out to be a completely confusing picture for everyone on the internet,” she said.
Many took to Twitter to discuss the illusion, with most claiming that while the legs appear shiny from a distance, they are very clearly painted when viewed up close.
This is so fried!! They were pure shiny legs until I read the caption and now they're just legs with white paint on them https://t.co/93ZlwDXtMj

That really was a mind trip after I realized it was just white paint and her legs weren't shiny https://t.co/1qAzlmhVxA

Before Ms Culverhouse set her Instagram profile to private, the original post had more than 5700 likes.
“The first time I posted it, it didn’t go completely crazy,” she said.
“But then I reposted it again and other big accounts started to post it and share it. Then it took to Twitter and YouTubers started tweeting about it as well.”
What do you think? Certified illusion or just a big fuss over a little paint?
