Android and smartphone users rejoice, there’s no longer a wrong side to the micro-USB cable.

A company has designed the first micro-USB cable that works whatever way you plug it in.

• Smartphones to spell end for keys and cash
• The top 25 hacked passwords are seriously basic
• Social media use linked to depression

Called the MicFlip, its creators have gone to Indiegogo crowdfunding in the hopes of fast tracking the reversible device onto the market.

“There is no hassle and no frustration when ports don’t match and no need to spend hours searching for specific connectors,” creators Winnergear claim.

“Rather than risk damaging components by accidentally forcing standard micro-USB plugs in the wrong direction, the MicFlip can be seamlessly inserted at any angle.”

The group have since achieved their crowdfunding goal.

The item is expected to retail for $20 in Australia.
