YouTube hits: What you watched in 2013

YouTube have released their Rewind list for 2013, summarising the top 10 trending videos to make a splash this year. Leading the charge in Australia and the world was Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis with their song What Does the Fox Say? – a creation initially intended as a joke only to go viral and top charts around the world. To celebrate, 60 of the top YouTubers got together to create a tribute video:

What Does the Fox Say? was closely followed by the army edition of Harlem Shake and another comedy video, How Animals Eat Their Food. The fastest rising Australian YouTube channel was that of 18 year-old singer, actor and vlogger Troye Sivan from Perth.
