Australian actress Rebel Wilson has revealed she was rushed to hospital during the filming of her latest movie, sharing an image of the aftermath of a “stunt accident”.

Wilson 43, took to Instagram on Sunday to update fans on her welfare after she needed three stitches in the aftermath of a stunt gone wrong during filming for Bride Hard in Savannah, Georgia.

“NOT the way I wanted to end this movie,” Wilson posted on her Instagram story, accompanying an up-close image of her blooded and swollen nose.

“3 stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4am.”

Bride Hard, an action comedy, sees Wilson star as a secret agent who struggles to fulfill her obligations as the maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding.

Bride Hard is one of few movies still currently being made during the Hollywood writers and actors strike, operating under an “interim agreement”.

Writers Guild of America (WGA) negotiators met with representatives of the major studios for the first time in a three-month strike last week to discuss whether contract talks can resume, but the Guild says no agreement was reached.

Members of the Screen Actors Guild, which Wilson is apart of, also went on strike on July 14 after being unable to reach an agreement with the studios on a new three-year contract.

In a statement to members last month, SAG-AFTRA explained the nature of the Interim Agreement system.

“The Interim Agreement gives many of our journeyman performers and crews the opportunity to pay their rent and feed their families. This approach maintains our strength, solidarity and upper hand with the AMPTP until they yield to the deal we deserve,” the guild said.

The Pitch Perfect star, who announced her engagement with Romana Agruma in February, told E! News last week she and her fiancee plan to expand their family, after welcoming baby daughter Royce via surrogate in November.

“I would like to have another child,” Rebel said.

“It’s just like, well, is that possible? I have to do IVF. We’ll see how it goes.”
