 Arnold Schwarzenegger’s good deed backfires

The actor-turned-politician said his community was upset by a giant pothole, so he decided to do something about it, sharing a video of him filling it to Twitter.

But it turns out it wasn’t even a pothole, but a trench.

It’s a service trench that relates to active, permitted work being performed at the location by SoCal Gas, who expects the work to be completed by the end of May,” a spokesperson for the utility company told NBC News.

Possum pops into Coles

A possum was seen hiding behind goods in the meat section of Coles in Mitcham in Melbourne and scurrying down the shelf.

Teresa Carratelli saw the possum, which she initially thought was a rat, and told The Whitehorse Leader it appeared to be quite frightened.

Joe Biden’s awkward gaffe

While in the Republic of Ireland, US President Joe Biden made a rather awkward mistake – mixing up the All Blacks with the Black and Tans.

The Black and Tans are not a sporting team, but rather British recruits for the Royal Irish Constabulary during the Irish War of Independence.

History Ireland notes that the Black and Tans were “part of the escalation of violence” in Ireland in 1920-1921.

Protesters storm Louis Vuitton headquarters

In a fresh wave of protests in France over the government’s plans to raise the retirement age, protesters took to fashion house Louis Vuitton’s headquarters.

The protesters descended on the building the same day shares in the company jumped to a record high.

“If Macron wants to find money to finance the pension system, he should come here to find it,” union leader Fabien Villedieu said, according to CNN.

Jennifer Coolidge heads Down Under

The actress who became a fan favourite in The White Lotus is headed to Australia for Sydney’s Vivid festival.

Coolidge made the announcement on Instagram and said the show’s creator Mike White would be joining her.
