Justin and Hailey Bieber have revealed they are expecting their first child together, and have renewed their marriage vows.

A representative for Hailey Bieber confirmed to the Associated Press on Thursday (US time) that the model is just over six months pregnant.

The couple announced the news on their respective Instagram pages with corresponding posts. He has 293 million followers on the platform, while she has 51.6 million.

Both posts begin with a short, romantic video clip of the couple kissing.

It shows 27-year-old Hailey draped in white lace; her baby bump prominent in the sheer, form-fitting fabric.

It is followed up with a photo shoot of Justin, 30, photographing his wife.

In each caption, they’ve tagged one another.

Fashion house Yves Saint Laurent said the video and photoshoot were from the Biebers’ vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii on Thursday.

In 2018, the Biebers confirmed their long-rumoured marriage on Instagram, after a secret ceremony in New York. He posted a picture of the couple holding hands and captioned it, “My wife is awesome”.

Hailey, who is the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin and his wife, Kennya, changed her surname from “Baldwin” to “Bieber” at the same time. She is also a model and the founder of skincare range Rhode.

Hailey and the Canadian-born singer got engaged in the Bahamas earlier that year, after about a month of dating.

In addition to modelling, Hailey Bieber is the founder of skincare line Rhode.

Justin Bieber, who rose to fame as a teenager, is a Grammy winner with eight No. 1 songs under his belt, including Sorry, Love Yourself, What Do You Mean? and Despacito.

His last album, Justice, was released in 2021.

In 2022, Bieber was forced to cancel a world tour as he recovered from Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

The condition is caused by a viral reactivation and is one of 60 causes of facial palsy, or facial paralysis as it is known in the US.

He told fans that he realised something was wrong when he noticed his right eye was not blinking and only half his mouth could smile.

“I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move. So there’s full paralysis on this side of my face,” he said.

The singer said he had been doing facial exercises to regain movement but it would still take time to recover.
