Allen’s popular party mix lolly Peaches & Cream will now be sold solo after a social media outcry by a peachy fan.

Public pressure began on Facebook when lolly enthusiast Georgia Faith bemoaned the fact there were very few Peaches & Cream lollies in mix bag packets.

“For the benefit of your company, and for the benefit of the nation, I sincerely urge you to please bag these peachy bites of perfection on their own,” she wrote.

“I’m tired of the disappointment that comes with opening a bag of party mix to find a mere 3 (sic) of them to satisfy my craving.”

Allen’s listened to the customer’s outcry after the post was shared and liked thousands of times on Facebook.

It all came down to a nationwide vote – organised by Allen’s – between three different lollies, according to Nine Network.

Retro Racing cars and Black Cats were also in the running, but Peaches & Cream won in the end.

“As voted by you, the lolly going solo is…Peaches & Cream!” Allen’s announced on Facebook.

“We’re super excited. Hope you are too!”

More than 25,000 votes were casted and crowd favourite Peaches & Cream secured 60 per cent of the poll. 

The bags will be sold from March.
