A loved Australian food chain has rocketed to the top of the international food scene. Grill’d Burgers was named one of the top 11 Best Restaurant Chains in the Asia-Pacific by Condé Nast Traveler magazine, one of the world’s most respected travel bibles.

“For those times when hunger strikes and you just want something simple, cheap, and now, these are the chains that rise above the typical fast-food fare,” said the magazine.

The healthy burger chain is the only Australian name on the list – impressive considering it began just ten years ago from a single store in Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn.

Also on the tasty roll-call was New York’s ‘Wichcraft and Shake Shack, London’s Chilango and LA’s Tender Greens.

Grill’d founder Simon Crowe was chuffed with the nod. “Being listed alongside restaurants in London, New York, Paris and Milan is an incredible achievement not only for Grill’d, but for Australia too,” he said.

Claiming to sell the country’s healthiest burgers, Grill’d launched a Low Carb SuperBun last month.
