Five Way Cellars

There’s so many great wine shops to choose from in Sydney, and although it’s tiny, Five Way Cellars in Paddington is one of the true quality fine wine stores. Owner Ian Cook’s carefully selected range showcases the best of wines from around Australia and the world, with a particular emphasis on Italian wines.

City Wine Shop

You’re always bound to bump into someone you know at The City Wine Shop, on Melbourne’s tree-lined Spring Street. Inside, the shop’s wall of wine doubles as a beautiful feature piece to look at in wonderment at the possibilities of fine imbibing. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and quick to assist with your choice. Drink in or take-away.

Craft Wine Store

Brisbane is now showing a sophisticated air when it comes to wine, and Craft Wine Store in Red Hill is leading the way. Run by Tony Harper, the store specialises in organic, biodynamic and natural wines. Ask their friendly and knowledgeable staff about their selection of artisan wines, beers and ciders.

East End Cellars

Being located in the middle of wine country hasn’t done Adelaide wine stores any harm. Owned by Michael Andrewtrewartha, East End Cellars has been a staunch favourite for locals for over 15 years, with a wide array of both local and imported wines gracing its shelves. Watch for it moving across the road to new premises in next year.

La Vigna Wine Store

Sommelier and wine educator Michael Tamburri and his family have been running La Vigna Fine Wine Store for over 20 years, and the store has a wealth of devotees who continue to indulge in their terrific selection of wines from here and abroad. Make sure you check out their underground cellar which hides many vinous secrets.
