Cbus builds on trend to in house investment capacity with new appointments

Building industry super fund Cbus is continuing to build its in house investment capacity with three new appointments in the area. Patricia Lindenboim has been appointed  as head of strategy and investment innovation in its Sydney office.

The fund said Ms Lindenboim has significant domestic and international experience in strategy development and financial services after working with NAB, Macquarie Group, A.T. Kearney and consulting group McKinsey & Co.

In another new appointment, Elizabeth Weston will join Cbus in a new  role as head of legal and governance in the investment area based in Melbourne. She has significant experience in asset management in Australia and the UK and most recently served as general counsel and company secretary for advisory and asset management group River and Mercantile.

Long time equity analyst and portfolio manager Sanjay Magotra has been appointed as an equities portfolio manager in the Melbourne office. Mr Margotra joins Cbus from a similar position at Integrity Investment Management. He will be responsible for undertaking company and sector research across Australian equities.

Kristian Fok, Chief Investment Officer said the Fund said the appointments would build capacity across the investment team.

Cbus recently was awarded the Elizabeth Broderick Workforce Flexibility Award as well as the HR Diversity Champion Award at the Australian Human Resources Institute Awards.
