Home loans rise in June
The number of home loans approved in June rose 0.2 per cent, official figures show.
There were 52,153 approvals in the month, compared to 52,068 approvals in May.
Economists had expected the number of housing finance commitments to rise 0.5 per cent in June.
The value of total housing finance rose one per cent in June, seasonally adjusted, to $27.748 billion, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Friday.
