What is The Bachelor in Paradise?

The Bachelor in Paradise (BIP) is based on the US show that has aired four seasons on the ABC Network.

Contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette who were unlucky in love, join together to form bonds and relationships amongst the group.

Each week there is an uneven number of people. One week there are more women than men and vice versa.

Every second episode there is a rose ceremony where the majority hand out roses. This means that someone is without a rose and sent home.

Every episode new contestants arrive and date cards are given out which automatically allows you to pick someone to go on a date with, even if they have already coupled up.

While there is no winner, the couples that make it to the end of the show have the chance to declare their love.

The US show has seen some happy couples stay together.  Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert starred in the second season in 2015. They got married in 2016 and welcomed their first child in 2017.

Carly Waddell and Evan Bass were contestants on the third season of BIP. They got married in 2017 and welcomed a baby girl in February 2018.
