Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, has slammed the portrayal of her father by a white actor in an upcoming TV series, saying it made her “want to vomit”.

In a series of tweets, the 18-year-old said the whitewashing of her late father was a “shameful portrayal”.

Responding to a Michael Jackson fan account, Ms Jackson said the casting was “insulting”.

“I’m just so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit,” she tweeted.

“Unfortunately this is what my family has to deal with,” he tweeted.

“No words could express the blatant disrespect.”

The British-produced TV series Urban Myths consists of eight 30-minute episodes about different celebrity stories that have become “urban folklore”.

The episode about Michael Jackson is about a road trip the pop singer once took from New York to Los Angeles with Hollywood actors Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando following the 9/11 terror attacks.

Michael Jackson is played by white actor Joseph Fiennes, who has appeared in films such as Shakespeare in Love and Elizabeth.

Widely dubbed the “King of Pop”, Jackson died in 2009 aged 50.
