Seven Network presenter Melissa Doyle’s nerves have been put to the test during a live news broadcast.

Doyle was presenting an item about a proposed train link in Sydney’s western suburbs when there was a huge crashing sound in the studio.

A startled Doyle managed to keep her composure. Interrupted mid-sentence in the 7pm bulletin, she closed her eyes and paused before smiling and saying, ‘hopefully we’ll get something fixed in the studio’.

Seven has offered no explanation for the crash, but it prompted Doyle to post the following on Twitter after the broadcast: ‘I told you to use the big Allen key …,’

Many watching the news broadcast also took to Twitter.

One viewer posted: ‘Ouch sounded loud as well haha (sic) the joys of live TV,’ wrote one man.

Another posted: ‘Wow massive crash sound in the studio while Melissa Doyle hosts 7 News , hope everyone’s alright’.
