Jon Snow watch: more evidence he will return to GoT

Game of Thrones fans are once again holding out hope all is not lost for beloved character Jon Snow, after the actor who plays him was spotted near the set of the popular series.

Kit Harington has been snapped several times over the past few weeks hanging out in Belfast, Ireland, where season six of the show is currently being filmed.

First, his man bun was snapped wandering around Belfast airport.

Then, he was photographed with fellow man of the Night’s Watch Ben Crompton (who plays Dolorous Edd) on the streets of Belfast. They were reportedly hanging out near Titanic Studios, where the show is often filmed.

Another fan who claimed to have spotted Harington posted on Facebook that he refused to take photos, claiming he “wasn’t allowed to”.

Just this week, the rumour mill was sent into overdrive when an astute fan caught Harington lunching with Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel – again, in Belfast.

Other stealthy photos (like the one below) confirm Harington’s ongoing presence in Belfast and that he should possibly consider getting a restraining order.

To top it all off, one fan tweeted that Harington was staying at a hotel in Banbridge, near Belfast. Banbridge is home to the Linen Mill studio, where the show films every year. Coincidence? WE THINK NOT.

These sightings are just the latest in a string of clues hinting at Snow’s return.

In early July, Harington was spotted sporting long locks at Wimbledon. Many took this as a sign he would return to the show as his contract stipulates he cannot cut his hair.

After that, HBO chose to omit Jon Snow from its “Memorian Collection” of character figurines which paid tribute to the show’s fallen.

Then there are the words of Thrones creator and author George R.R. Martin: “If there’s one thing we know in A Song of Ice and Fire is that death is not necessarily permanent.”

All signs point to some kind of Jon Snow revival, despite director David Nutter’s insistence otherwise.

“I can say emphatically that Jon Snow is definitely dead … deader than dead,” Nutter told Variety in June.

Of course, this could just all be part of a carefully orchestrated publicity stunt from HBO, or a prank conducted by a bored, out-of-work Harington.

Regardless, we’re hanging on every word.

We still know nothing.
