Nine News tops The Block

The Block Glasshouse was the most watched non-news program on Tuesday night.

The Nine Network’s renovating reality show netted 1.128 million viewers, beating Seven’s The X Factor Top 12 reveal show, which had 1.088 viewers, according to the OzTam overnight TV ratings.

Hamish and Andy’s Gap Year South America nabbed eighth place in the top 10 most watched programs, with one million people tuning in to see the final episode in the series.

Some 1.141 million people tuned in for Nine News, edging out the Seven Network’s bulletin which attracted 1.128 viewers.

Seven soap Home and Away (918,000) and drama Winners & Losers (848,000) rounded out the top 10 programs of the night.
