House Rules smashes ratings again

The penultimate episode of House Rules was a clear winner on the overnight ratings while Network Ten’s quality drama Offspring failed to make the top 10.

The preliminary final on House Rules, in which Victorians Adam and Lisa and Perth grandparents Carole and Russell advanced to Sunday’s decider, was watched by 1.518 million viewers.

The Seven Network’s reality renovation series clearly beat the next three placegetters Seven News (1.202 million), Nine News (1.103 million) and Nine News 6.30pm (1.092 million).

Offspring faltered on OzTAM’s overnight ratings – the drama series was 12th with 746,000 viewers.

It was better news for Ten’s reality show MasterChef, which continues to land in the 10 most watched shows.

On Wednesday it was seventh with 896,000 watchers.
