Seven News breaks Voice
Reality singing series The Voice easily won its timeslot but not the ratings after being oddly beaten by Seven News.
The Voice pulled an audience of 1.533 million viewers, it’s second lowest Sunday night audience this season, to finish second.
Even though The Voice ratings were strong, Seven News was first with 1.560 million watchers.
Nine’s Sydney News attracted an audience of 564,000 while Seven’s Sydney audience was 297,000.
Seven News, however, won every other market including Perth were it had 237,000 viewers compared to Nine News’ 96,000.
That meant Nine News (1.414 million) was third and House Rules, which went head-to-head with The Voice, was fourth with 1.407 million viewers.
Network Ten’s highest ranking show was Master Chef which drew a neat million watchers to be a credible seventh.
The ABC’s architectural show Grand Designs even made it in to the top 10, finishing ninth with 944,000 viewers.
